Red Dirt Golf Collective was born out of an enthusiasm for the game and a passion for the state of Oklahoma.

We seek to reveal a true, in-depth narrative of influential courses and figures who have shaped or continue to shape this game in our great state. From your local muni to the upper echelon of Oklahoma’s most renowned golf clubs, there are stories to be told. Someone just needs to tell them.

We travel the state to experience hidden gems and well-known treasures. We talk to people - like you - who love the game. We dedicate ourselves to preserving and promoting golf from the prairie grasslands of Boise City to the pine-lined fairways of Broken Bow.

Red Dirt Golf Collective was established by Jared Gallagher and Spencer Drury in 2020. Friends since their time at Oklahoma State University and working hot summers at Karsten Creek Golf Club, they are dedicated to telling the story of golf - past, present and future - in Oklahoma. Jared lives in Owasso, primarily covering the Green Country region. You can follow him on Twitter at @jaredgallagher. Spencer, an Altus native, lives in Cashion and covers the Oklahoma City area. You can follow him on Twitter at @spencerdrury3.

In early 2021, Red Dirt Golf Collective expanded south of the Red River under the direction of Brendon Morris. A Dallas native, Brendon covers the game across the entire state of Texas. You can follow him on Twitter at @brendon_wm.

In the spring of 2023, Red Dirt Golf’s reach extended to the airwaves, partnering with 107.7 The Franchise - Oklahoma City’s leading sports talk radio station - to introduce the Red Dirt Golf Hour, a weekly radio show dedicated to telling the story of golf in Oklahoma. Coinciding this announcement, the team expanded with the introduction of Bixby native TJ Eckert. You can find him on Twitter at @tjeckertKTUL.
